Moving my couch to storage

I still remember my big move to the west coast. There was the usual packing of my stuff. Then there was the moving truck rental. I didn't have any money to pay professional movers. So this was a move your own stuff type move.
There were no problems getting out of town with my moving truck and my belongings. The problem was actually on the other end. First, in big cities you can't exactly park a moving truck on the street. So I ran into that right away. So my moving truck had tickets right away. But that wasn't even the big issue. The big issue in my move was that the storage unit was not open on Sunday's. Yet, the truck had to be back on Sunday and I had to be at work on Monday. So, I actually got the number of one of the people who worked at the storage unit. Believe it or not, I found someone to open the storage unit up for me on a day that they were closed. Well, I'm leaving out the part about paying him fifty bucks. There really were not many options here. The final scare came when nobody was at the storage unit when we arrived with the moving truck. But luckily he answered his phone and came right down. Happy ending to my storage unit and moving story - just cost me $50.
